Policing Plan 2011-2015

The Policing Plan 2011-15 is South Wales Police Authority and South Wales Police’s five year strategy to keep South Wales safe.

As you will see, the Policing Plan 2011-15 has been structured around the following areas that we consider to be priorities for the forthcoming five years.

As an Authority and a police Force, we have made significant improvements in many areas over recent years, with 2010-11 seeing around 790 fewer victims of crime a month.  We are proud of these results and will continue with our work to reduce crime, increase detections and keep South Wales safe.

Equally as important to us is the perception our communities have of our police service and the way that we treat you.  Recent research tells us that our communities’ are feeling more confident in us and in the service we provide, but we know we have some work to do in this area because you have told us.

Whilst we do not want to underestimate the challenges ahead, we want you to know that we are confident of the real difference we are able to make to the lives of people across all of our communities, as well as to the many who visit our area.
