As a public service working to meet your needs, it is important that our make up reflects that of the communities we serve. We will work to better promote ourselves across all communities as an organisation where valuable experience can be gained, be it as a volunteer or an employee.
We know that those people who have had cause to contact us because they have been subjected to a crime motivated by prejudice or hate are less satisfied with the service they receive from us, than those who report other types of crimes. We will work to understand why this is and to improve the satisfaction of our communities who experience such crimes.
We will work with our partners to ensure that policing plays a role in developing strong and vibrant communities, where crime and behaviour which is unacceptable to the majority cannot be allowed to take root.
