To achieve success as a service we need to work together and towards one vision. We will ensure that every member of South Wales Police recognises the role that they have to play as a leader and we will support individuals in developing their skills in this area.
During 2011-15 will continue to review your needs and our resources to ensure that we are still delivering a service that is appropriate. We will work to instil a sense of pride in our workforce and in delivering a quality service to you. When speaking with you and with each other, our workforce should be professional and positive in their approach.
We will continue to work as part of ‘Safer South Wales’, the South Wales community safety leadership group, so that we can share and direct work from the highest level in order to support and develop safer communities across our area.
Our Chief Constable and his senior officers will lead the service by example. Chief Officer meetings will regularly be held at stations across South Wales and Chief Constable Peter Vaughan and his team will undertake patrols and visits, in order to support performance improvement and gain a better insight into the work undertaken by our officers, PCSOs and other staff where you live.
