Mr Umar Hussain
Umar Hussain provides strategic direction, control and advice on financial resources within the force to ensure an efficient and effective Police Service. He was appointed Director of Finance with South Wales Police in August 2007 and is responsible for Corporate Finance, Fleet Services, Estate Management, Procurement, Central Services and Business Support.
He has financial experience within both the public and private sector including ten years with Gwent Police as Head of Finance, and three years with Lincolnshire police as Director of Finance and Admin.
Umar has a BA Honours in Accounting and Finance and trained as an Accountant in London and is now a Fellow Member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants.
