Offenders

If you have recently been convicted for an offence, you might not know what happens next.

This section of the website provides useful information on what you can expect in the sentencing process, as well as the different types of sentencing imposed by the Criminal Justice System today.

When deciding on an appropriate sentence, the court will consider public safety, as well as the type of crime committed, the seriousness of it, and the circumstances around the incident.

Remember, this isn’t the end of the road. Support is available to help you get back into education, training or work.

NACRO, the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders, offer practical solutions to help ex-offenders build a better future. They can help you find somewhere to live, help you deal with drug or alcohol problems, and support your return to work.

To get involved, call NACRO Cymru on 01792 468400. Alternatively, you can visit www.nacro.org.uk
