THE South Wales Police museum proved a popular attraction when the Cynon Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team attended a recent council open day to engage with their local community.
PCSOs Sam Llewellyn- Jones, Bleddyn Jones, and Bernie Mahoney, had a stall at the event in Michael Sobell Sports Centre, Aberdare, packed with crime prevention advice, items from the force museum, and fingerprint kits for children.
PCSO Bleddyn Jones, community officer for Cwmbach, said: "The museum items were particularly popular with visitors who were able to see how police equipment and uniform has changed over the years.
"These items attracted people to our stall and we were then able to provide them with crime prevention advice and chat about any issues they had about policing in their local community.
"This was an ideal opportunity to meet the people we serve on a daily basis and we are grateful for Rhondda Cynon Taf Council for giving us this opportunity."
