1. The number of people arrested by yourselves between January 2025 and April 2025 on suspicion of witness intimidation.
2. Of those people arrested, how many were subsequently charged with an offence?
3. Of those people arrested, how many were subsequently recorded as No Further Action (NFA)?

RESPONSE

A search has been completed using our crime and incident recording system (Niche RMS) for the number of arrests recorded between 1^st January 2025 and 30^th April 2025 with the arrest reason description of ‘Intimidate a witness / juror (recordable)’ or ‘Attempt to intimidate a witness / juror (recordable)’.

Question 1

The number of arrests recorded is 76.

Question 2

18 were charged.

Question 3

45 were recorded as no further action.
