Shoplifting [Grangetown/Butetown]
Issued 15 December 2025
Officers in both Butetown and Grangetown have been carrying out a dedicated operation to tackle shoplifting and support local businesses. Proactive patrols in key areas are already helping to deter offenders, ensuring our high streets remain safe and welcoming for everyone.
This work is strengthened by close partnership with local shops, security teams, and community organisations. By sharing information and working together, we’re able to respond quickly to concerns and provide better protection for businesses and shoppers alike.
Our teams will continue regular patrols and engagement with the community, and we encourage anyone with information or concerns to speak with their local officers.
