Your neighbourhood policing team
Neighbourhood policing is at the heart of our approach to keeping South Wales safe. Your local team is made up of dedicated officers and PCSOs based in the area, who have the community’s best interests at heart and who are both visible and accessible.
We work closely with residents, community leaders, your local council and other partners to understand and respond to community concerns. By working together and focusing on early intervention, prevention and problem solving, we can find long-term solutions to local issues.

We have run school-based awareness sessions about ASB.
There was an active POP plan in the most affected area, Redlands Close.
We have conducted joint visits with housing officers to speak with the parents of the youths and explain the repercussions to their tenancy. -

We have conducted high- visibility patrols.
We have utilised the storenet radio to communicate with shops and BCBC CCTV.
We have visited shops that are repeat victims of crime multiple times a day to provide a police presence, offer crime prevention advice and encourage reporting.
We have submitted ASB referrals.
Police Officers have issued Section 35 notices. -
