Littering and Dog Mess at "The Half" (Merthyr Road)

Reports of littering and dog fouling at The Half, Merthyr Road, have been referred to the appropriate partner agencies. Local Authority Enforcement Officers are aware of the concerns and additional dog waste bins are being considered for the area. Partnership work continues to address the issue and improve the local environment. Priority finalised.

Parking Issues - Church Street, Penydarren

Regular patrols have been carried out in Church Street in response to concerns regarding vehicles parking too close to junctions and causing obstructions. Officers have worked alongside Local Authority Enforcement Officers, issued warning notices where appropriate, and engaged with local businesses regarding delivery-related issues. Parking compliance has improved significantly, and reports of problematic parking have reduced. Priority finalised.

Parking Issues - Bishop Hedley / Blessed Carlo Acutis

Patrols and engagement activity were undertaken in response to concerns regarding illegal and obstructive parking linked to Bishop Hedley School. Designated bus parking arrangements were established, an Environmental Visual Audit was completed, and findings were shared with Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. With the school now closed and no ongoing concerns identified, this priority will be finalised.
